About Me
Therapy Rooted in Authenticity, Compassion, and Collaboration
There’s a moment in every life when something shifts—when the way things have been no longer feels sustainable, and the longing for change becomes louder than the fear of it. It takes wisdom to recognize that desire for something different, and incredible courage to take the first step toward it. I’m Malia Krupin, a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#159130) supervised by Courtney Brain, LMFT (#114283), and my work centers on supporting individuals, couples, and families through those pivotal moments. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sacramento State University and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University’s School of Professional Psychology. Throughout my training and clinical work, I developed a deep passion for exploring human sexuality and helping clients rebuild intimacy, strengthen connection, and rediscover themselves with compassion and clarity.
I believe therapy is more than just a conversation; it’s a space where you can be truly seen and understood. My approach is client-centered and holistic, blending curiosity, warmth, and deep respect for the unique story you carry. Together, we’ll explore not just the struggles you’re facing, but the strengths already within you, the pieces that can grow, heal, and propel you forward.
Every session is tailored to meet you where you are. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy, in support of fostering emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and a deeper sense of self. Whether you’re working to heal old wounds, restore closeness in your relationship, or reconnect with your own inner self, I’ll walk alongside you one step at a time.
Outside of the therapy room, I love to recharge in nature, whether I’m skiing through fresh powder, mountain biking along local trails, or hiking with my dog. These moments outdoors help me stay centered and connected to the sense of joy and curiosity I encourage in my clients, reminding me of the value of presence and play in everyday life.
If you’re ready to begin the process of healing or simply curious about what therapy might offer, I would be honored to support you along the way.
